A Few Things to Watch Out For
Before you swap them out, there is one catch: you need a dedicated circuit. You can’t just plug a high-wattage waterproof heater into a standard GFI outlet and hope for the best. If you’re putting in a 2000W unit, make sure your wiring can actually handle the load. Otherwise, you’ll be tripping your breakers every time you want to get warm. It costs a bit more upfront, sure. But you’re trading that for a unit that won’t die the second a shower curtain leaks. It’s a simple swap that actually lasts.
